I'm trying to find out exactly what type of batteries I need to install in a 26' Pursuit Denali with (2) 200 hp Yamaha engines. As I understand it I need two engine batteries and one for the instruments etc. The website and customer service listed on their web site have been no help at all.
.
There website is extremely helpful I think. I don't own that boat, but I was able to find the owners manual for the boat. Page 15-4 shows the battery configuration.

Replace the batteries already onboard with same size batteries. Batteries are sized in "Groups". Group 24, Group 27, or Group 31.
For that size boat I would guess you have group 27 or 31. The biggest battery that fits in the battery box is ideal. The engine manufacture ie Yamaha, sets the battery specification for engines, 200 HPDI I'm guessing? Engines you want a marine "Starting". House Battery you want in a "Deep Cycle" for longevity.
Should have one battery for each motor, and then a "house battery." As illustated.
