Fuel economy
We just took our new to us 285OS with twin 250hp Yamaha's our for a run on the west coast. First impression is wow.....I love this setup!
I found at 4200rpm we were doing 31 mph and had a 19 gallon per hour fuel burn at 1.6 mpg.
It seemed this was the sweet spot but just curious is someone with more hours in a similar boat has found a better running rpm and speed?
Next question, will be setting her up for salmon fishing, local Yammy dealers says there is no need for a trolling motor, I am still leaning that way.......feedback would be appreciated?
Thanks,
Greg

Re: Fuel economy
Good luck with your new boat... I have the 325OS with twin 300's for 3 months now and I am getting approx same mph at that RPM but fuel burn is at 25gph...
sorry couldn't help more but figured i'd respond since to my surprise there are not too many people on this forum. I had a Sailfish prior to my Pursuit and the forum had a ton of activity...
take care,
Andrew

Re: Fuel economy
That sounds pretty good for a larger model with more power. Can't wait for Spring to get out on the water with the new toy.
