Volvo Penta Duo Props

Postby Hcugno » Thu Jun 22, 2017 9:37 pm

I have a Volvo Penta 7.4l with Volvo outdrive with duo props on my 1997 Pursuit Denali 2860. I dinged up the props and had them repaired. When I put the props back on the shaft, there is space between the props of approximately 1/2". When the props sit on top of one another without being on the shaft there is no space and they fit snugly together. Every diagram I can find including the owner's manual shows the props fitting snugly together while on the shaft. I tried running the boat with the 1/2" gap in the props and there is noticeable vibration as soon as I get past idle. I can't get the gap out. Anyone have any advice?
