I recently purchased a Lowrance HDS-10 for my 2003 Pursuit 2470 WA. I used a shoot thru transducer that the previous owner had haphazardly siliconed to the hull. It popped loose and did not give good readings. So

Transducer for HDS-10

I have a Raymarine C120+DSM30. In my OS255 I use an Airmar 600 P79 in-hull transducer that allows me to get a clear 240'-270' bottom image when trolling and 180'-200' at 25 kts. The power lost due to the hull fiberglass is definitely compensed by the constant cleanliness of the transducer and the absence of turbulence. If you need more power you can get a 1000W M260.

Airmar makes a complete line, not sure on the specs of your sounder, but I am sure they have something that will work.(600 watts/ 1000watts or more) Most likely is dual frequency, so it will work well in shallow and deep environments.
