Went from 33 foot sail to a 2460 Denali. Just bought a trailer and wanted any tips you may have. Will be towing with a v-8 Jeep Commander. Thanks

Here's my two cents:

If you bought a used trailer, consider taking it to a qualified shop to have it checked out, especially electrical, brakes, and bearings. Be sure to have the bunks adjusted for the boat and tongue weight properly set. If you bought it new, setup is usually done at purchase. Oh, and make sure that you have the proper pressure for your tires, 32 psi may be great for the family woody wagon but most folks run around 50 psi, depending on your tire rating.

Be sure to use your transom strap(s) if you travel any fair distance. And stay away from that canned astroglide-like stuff for your bunks as it may cause your boat to get (slip) away from you when you least expect it, i.e. at the ramp or going around a curve.

Always rinse off the tires and hubs of the trailer after a saltwater dunk. Not hi pressure just a rinsing lights Too. Have fun the 2460 hull is a great boat.

Thanks for the advice. First I have to dig the trailer out of the snow.
