Gas strut/spring for 2470 WA

Postby SBM2470 » Tue Aug 07, 2012 10:19 pm

My new to me 2470 WA is missing the gas strut/spring for the fish box. Does anyone know the length and spring rate for this part?

Almost all pursuit hardware and other stuff can be found at http://www.boatoutfitters.com. Once you see what you need, post the product and number in GOOGLE and you will find lower prices.

Call Pursuit...they are helpful.

Gas strut/spring for 2470 WA

Yes call Pursuit.

They did not stock the gas struts for my engine cover on my 2460 but they gave me part numbers and put me in contact with the supplier who sold them to at wholesale prices. About 1/2 of what West Marine charges.

Sorry that I did not get back to this thread until now. I looked at my 2470 for the part number and this is what was on the gas strut. The part was made by Nitro Lift and had #625-8 on the label. There was a phone on the label 315.668.2172. Hope this helps. Buckeye2

Gas strut/spring for 2470 WA

Postby s4rs » Tue Jun 14, 2016 3:24 pm

I know this is an old thread but thought I would add my research. I just purchased a 2470wa and the bait well strut was missing. I called Pursuit and found they used an ITT-Endine PN 625-SSIB-8 with a spring force of 45 lbs. This link will take you to the order page, http://www.maxumhardware.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=74&products_id=366, just add the spring force in the box on the lower left (45lbs). Hope this helps someone else.
