windlass

Lewmar Pro Fish 700 worked great on a friends 2870. I know for sure you want a free-fall windlass, and horizontal as to save space in your anchor locker.

The pro-fish is what I would buy, but you might get away with something similar from Lewmar, just less expensive. Make sure if you buy it, you get the kit, with the contactor box and switch

I don't know for sure, but I believe they used Maxwell. Lewmar is also a really good windlass. I believe the factory used a vertical windlass, but a horizontal windlass will give you more room for rode and chain just as was suggested above.
