pursuit 2200 cuddy...need ideas/pics

just purchased a 1986 2200 cuddy with a 1997 merc 225 efi on a 2006 ez loader 25' 6200# trailer...boat is pretty impressive for its age and the initial quality of a well built boat stands the test of time and exposure well...she needs her share of work but i am impressed with how solid the boat is...and the fact that my 2002 gmc envoy with 135k miles tows it like it isnt there...

i am in the beginning stages of restoration involving more cosmetic work than anything else....i am toying around with the idea of a t top and am looking for ideas around the boat in general...i'm a technician by trade and currently instruct automotive technology at a technical center...so the challenge is welcome and i find it relaxing digging in, rewiring, poking holes, sanding and finishing as things come together...

the rear splash board is missing in front of the motor well and i'm looking for pictures of this setup so i can work something similar out...also looking for interior pics, filler cushion included (no cushions or filler in boat), deck layouts, electronics, anchor placement on the pulpit if youve done so and general information about the boat...curious about trim tabs also...i had a few heavyweights on the boat with me and it was rough...it could have used a bit of tab and listed into the wind a bit...anything you can supply would be helpful...ive owned some pretty boats but i think this one is gonna shine bright when its done...

btw...sea trialed in a heavy wind and a 2-3 foot chop on the caloosahatchee last night and was impressed with the way this sucker knifes through the chop...a little more flare would be handy but when the winds howlin the water goes where it wants...the slow speed maneuverability was pretty impressive also...shes a keeper...

thanks in advance...

Well congrats on the new baby. I would look into starboard for the splash well bulkhead, although I believe I have seen them made out of teak also. Even my 30 leans into the wind, but I use the tabs to make it lean the other way and I get virtually no spray. If you can't get the result with just tabs, move the heavy weights around some! I use Marine Tex and West Systems Six10 epoxy for and cosmetic and structural repairs. Funny you say she's a keeper, Keeper is the name of my boat. Smooth sailing to you!

thanks...starboard is the most likely choice for me as i'm trying to maintain some kind of budget...i'm looking for pics just to show the setup as it is intended...not like its hard to figure out but I like getting ideas from other boats...

this weekend itll get stripped down and the hole filling will start...then the teak gunnels get tackled and then the real fun starts as we clean up the cabin then start putting her all back together again one goody at a time...

I am going to be looking for foam for cabin cushions...what is best to use and where is the best place to pick it up?...I actually thought about buying a memory foam mattress topper and using that foam but I have to look into how well it would work on a hard surface...

i'm also unfamiliar with the steering used on this boat...all of my others used Teleflex hydraulic setups...I believe this one is a kobelt with a remote mounted cylinder on the transom...

it is leaking from the end seals and i'm wondering if there is a rebuild kit available...looks simple enough...

OK...got the steering figured out....overhauled the cylinder with $3.58 worth of seals purchased at local hydraulic shop...boat is coming along great...nice working on a quality built boat...this thing is built like a tank...

hit the water today...lots of hard work on a neglected and broken boat paid off and she polished up like a rare stone...the teak and rewire took up the most time but every minute was worthwhile when she showed me what she could do today...ive owned many boats up to 30'+ but this one gives me chills when I push the throttle...
