2013 Pursuit 345 offshore

Postby Ryebread81 » Sun Jun 21, 2015 9:04 am

What does everyone think? I love the boat but definitely a lot of building glitches. The fishbox mascerator, TERRIBLE. It constantly fills up with water and very hard to pump it all out. It also is not sealed so after a while, the boxes full up with water even when not using boat (from rainfall, etc). Also could use a 3rd engine on the 345. other issues as well but I'm just getting the conversation started.

I've run one with twin 350's and it seemed more that capable.

I have 2012, OS375, I took the filters out of drain on edges of fish boxes and battery boxes. Less water in fish boxes since then.

Seem the fish box complaint is much older. My 2000 3070 is the same terrible design. You'd think after a dozen years of complaints that they might put some type of gasket/seal on the closing...

had same issue on my 2016, added gasket from Home Depot and seemed to work... agree that for the amount of money for this boat this wouldn't be an issue but i still love my OS325!

good luck

same issue on my OS 325. Has any body had an issue with rust developing on the bow rail. I keep my boat spotless but with the boat less than a year old I'm starting to notice some rust stains.

Have owned mine for 8 seasons. Love the boat, hate the electronics - either Raymarine is the issue or the way power is supplied.
Recently ran into the dreaded water intrusion issues with the first generation Yamaha 350s - likely exhaust manifold failure, but possibly water freezing in head.
Agree the macerator is ridiculous and that the deck boxes are not waterproof. How hard could that be.
The livewell draining into the transom well in stupid, dirty and potentially dangerous
34'-37' class of expresses.
HP seems right. Changed pitch of original props last year.
