Repower - 1981 Pursuit

Has anyone has repowered a 1981 20 foot pursuit. Looking at a $3000 repair for a cracked head on a Mercruiser 470 mcm. I'd rather put the money in a remanufactured engine if there is a somewhat easy solution. The boat is like new condition, painted into a corner on a suspect powertrain if I can't find another solution..... any help is appreciated.

Ok, does anyone know what engine options there were for this 1981 2000 Cuddy?
