Prop Size for 3000 Express

Postby CaboJohn » Tue Oct 13, 2015 4:01 pm

I have a 2003 3000 Express powered by Crusader 350 "Captain's Choice". Does anyone know what size props this boat came with when new? I don't have access to the boat (in Mexico) and want to bring new ones down this fall. Thanks for your help.

Thanks Mark,

Which raises another issue. I finally got a report from the marina which says my boat has 19x17s. The test report from Pursuit says it used 19x19s, and they had a more or less normal load of fuel, water and passengers. Of course I have a hard top, a gen set, and lots of gear in addition to that, so I think I will stick with the 19x17s. (Of course I am assuming the marina read the numbers correctly which is a 50/50 proposition.)

I did a project on my 3000 Exp. a few years ago and one of the elements of it was to have some prop work done. I wanted to reduce pitch and increase cup to take off some load at lower speeds and increase it at higher. Props had never been crunch ed or changed. Between the two wheels the prop shop found over an inch variation between the blades.
