1997 2470 CC fuel tank pick up

Postby taamatrix » Sun Jul 17, 2016 1:23 pm

I have a 1997 2470 CC, on the aluminum fuel tank (which is very difficult to get to under rear storage box, need to be rubber man) there are two fuel pick up ports on top of the fuel tank. I'm assuming this set up is available when running twin engines. My boat has a single 250 Suzuki. I'm having problems stalling at low speed or idle speed and the primer ball going flat. I've replaced just about everything related to fuel except fuel pumps on motor and also the check valve or fuel pick up on the fuel tank. I've tried to remove the fuel pick up and check valve that is currently in use with no avail, frozen solid. I was wondering is I can use the additional pick up port currently not being used? would this have a tank pick up? I think I can get the plug off this and install a new check valve
