1998 Express 3000

Have recently purchased a express 3000 that does not have air conditioning plan on adding has anyone have experience with this as far as BTU and placement and so forth.

Congratulations on your boat, I have a 99 and love it.
The a/c compressor is mounted under the aft dinette seat with the discharge hose running back aft of there. It can be accessed by removing the panel behind the aft dinette seat back. The supply pump is mounted in the engine room on the landing above the forward bilge pump and the intake valve is in front of the starboard engine. You can see the pump and strainer in the picture.

Did not see the pic ? also if you know how many BTU you have in yours was thinking around 7000 does this sound right?
Really like the boat only had it for the last part of fall but what a boat took it back to Quincy mass from Old Lyme Ct,
on the Ct river 7.5 Hour ride at 3200 rpm all day long beautiful ride!

Here is a link for the Pursuit 3000 Exp. factory specs. The a/c is 7000 BTU.

The weather is starting to turn ok. Here it is March 14th and we are having some Nor easter! You may be getting hit more. Good luck with the boat. I can't wait to get going either.

May have spoken a little too soon but we are coming out of it up this way weather wont have much choice soon,
Moving forward on the projects though have ac unit ordered and upholstery is in the basement waiting to be installed came out spectacular will send pics once installed of both,

Mark, This has finally been completed went with the Marinair 9k BTU and it just fit in the hole !
absolutely amazing how quiet this unit is, Time for fishing hard now!
will take some pics and send them along,

Nice, hope it all works well! I had put in new electronics last season, and when I put the boat in a few weeks ago I updated the software by WiFi through the MFD. The radar connects using WiFi, no data cable. When I updated, the radar did not connect! It is now sitting at Ray Marines service facility in NH. Hopefully under warranty. I may install a new FLIR setup over the winter, the old eyes are starting to have trouble with all the shore lighting when I head in at night.
