2670 CC fwd backrest cushion removal

Postby Alahoot » Mon Feb 19, 2018 4:27 pm

Does anyone know if the small cushion on the front of the console for the backrest just pops off with a little pressure from back side?? I can't for the life of me find any hardware and don't want to break anything. It is a 2004 so Im sure any of the Center consoles of that year will have something similar... Thanks for the help

Ha! I guess I will reply to myself. I want to pass off the information I was looking for to any of you guys who are dealing with the same issues. The backrest cushion is fastened with a special double sided plastic fastener called a christmas tree snap. So for starters, i just winged it and with a flat bar applied very careful pressure on the back side of the seat starting on one side and working the cushion over to the other. 2 of the plastic fasteners out of 6 broke, because they are 12 yrs old and brittle. As soon as I got the cushion off and inspecting these fasteners, I knew I was in for another search, which it was. I finally got thru to parts dept at pursuit, and he told me to look up christmas tree fasteners on amazon and there they were. I punched in every other search word I could think of for fasteners, and would have never thought of using the word "christmas tree". Anyway, the seat cushion pops off with pressure from back side and you'll probably need to order new christmas tree fasteners from amazon. For 15 bucks you get 25 of them.
