2000 2470 walkabout question

Postby Wojo910 » Sun Jul 19, 2020 5:43 pm

I have owned a 2470wa for about a year now. The boat is awesome and I couldn’t be happier with it. My only complaint is I keep getting water in the forward bilge. I keep the boat in my wet slip at my house. I have checked the thru-hulls and they are good. The aft bilge is always dry. I replaced the seals around the cabin access and wet tested them to ensure they are not leaking. I’ve also checked the seals on the hatch and portals and all are good. I can’t figure out how the water is getting in the forward bilge. It’s not much water. Maybe an inch deep (roughly 1 gallon, probably less). My next guess is the anchor locker. Does anyone else have a 2470 with this issue. Any suggestions on where else to look? Thanks in advance!

2000 2470 walkabout question

I have a 1996 2460 Denali , it seems to me any water that comes in the boat settles Forward because the hull is deeper in the bow. Under way that water finds its way to the stern , I keep a towel in the bilge and wring it out after each run .
