3000 Express Seating Repair

I am hoping there is a hidden screw up inside that will just take an allen wrench to tighten this seat back...does anyone know?

3000 Express Seating Repair

Postby REELAXIN » Tue Dec 06, 2022 6:06 am

Update...I grabbed a friend who does canvas and upholstery work on the side, expecting that I had rotted wood and a seat replacement would be in order. It turned out to be a best case scenario! We removed the staples from the trim on the underside and peeled everything back to the curve to enable us to lift the vinyl upward to expose the foam and bracket. This is still the OEM seat, so Pursuit used starboard as the backer and really good non water absorbent foam that was all in great shape. All that had happened were the 2 bolts had loosened up and one Tee nut on the back side had displaced a bit. A very simple fix. Buttoning up the bottom with new staples due to access will be a bit of a pain but he has the right tools for another day to finish the job.
